Situated at Newport, the Sundowner Park is approximately 6 miles from Great Yarmouth and is a short walk to the golden sands and the picturesque Norfolk Broads are also nearby. The peaceful surroundings of our chalet are an ideal base for exploring Norfolk.
Our chalet is a Miami type chalet. This is a two bedroomed family chalet which sleeps 4/6 people.
The main bedroom comprises of a double bed and adequate storage including a double slide door wardrobe, drawer unit, shoe rack and bed side storage. The 2nd bedroom has bunk beds. As well as ample storage from a double slide door wardrobe and 3 drawer chest unit there is a TV & DVD player for ‘peace & quiet’. Both bedrooms include stand alone heaters. Duvets, pillows and mattress protectors are provided. There are also fleecy blankets in both wardrobes to use if needed.
A spacious lounge includes two comfortable arm chairs and a double sofa bed to increase the sleeping capacity to 6 if required. Freeview TV and DVD players with a selection of DVDS. The kitchen adjoins the lounge and includes an electric induction hob and oven, microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle. Cutlery, crockery and all utensils are provided.
The fully tiled bathroom comprises of WC, sink, full size bath and shower.
Fresh clean bedding and beds made up for arrival can be hired at a cost of £15 (1 double and 2 single sets) but we do not provide cot bedding. We also provide a travel cot, high chair and buggy.
The Chalet has ample parking spaces close by. All electricity costs are included in the price of your holiday.
The Newport Strip as it is affectionately known is located immediately outside the Sundowner Park and comprises s small convenience store, several club houses, Ti’s sports bar, a diner, takeaway, fish and chip shop & amusement arcades.
Ti’s and Treasure Island amusements are sited side by side and provide a relaxing environment where adults and children can relax, enjoy a meal and drink or simply play.
The close vicinity to our chalet is especially appealing in the evenings when you do not want the hassle of a long walk or drive back to bed.
Hemsby resort is a short distance from the Sundowner Park and is easily accessible for those to walk or drive into the resort with ample parking close to the beach and lifeboat station. The resort includes amusements and attractions for all the family and has easy access to the expansive beach. A variety of sea-side style cafes, takeaways, shops and arcades are situated along the main beach road. Fun fairs, crazy golf and children’s rides feature at a number of sites along the road and in the beach corner you will find the Lacon Arms, a traditional pub & restaurant and MB’s leisure bar also offering pool, snooker and childrens soft play area.
Great Yarmouth is one the UK’s leafing holiday resorts and offers a multitude of attractions for young and old alike. From the busy seafront to the bustling shopping hub that is Regent Street there is something for everyone, day & night. Mention Norfolk and most people think of the Broads, which offer the opportunity to explore one of the largest inland waterways in Europe from several Broadlands centre such as Potter Heigham and Wroxham.
